Dr. Hannah Bartol
Naturopathic Doctor and Clinic Owner

Dr. Hannah is not accepting new patients at this time

My focus in practice is treating the underlying (or root cause) of disease in the body. This varies on a case by case basis, as everyone is unique. I treat the whole person, not just a symptom, disease, or diagnosis. I take great pride in providing our community with high-quality, patient-centered care and health education.

I enjoy getting to the root cause of all cases as a primary care physician, though I have a particular interest in treating stress, fatigue, anxiety, digestive concerns, and hormone imbalances.

Prior to pursuing the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine- Boucher campus, I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Suffolk University in 2013.

I am registered and in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC), and am a member of the British Colombia's Naturopathic Doctors (BCND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).

When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, identifying local herbs, practicing yoga, going to the beach, baking, and spending time with my family and friends.

As a Naturopathic Physician and mother of two, I practice comprehensive family medicine. I believe in finding the root cause of illness and using the healing power of nature to support the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of wellness and healing. I understand that each individual member of a family influences the other in a multitude of ways and that the health and wellness of every member of the family is important through all ages and stages of development.

I am passionate in providing primary care to families and empowering and educating my patients to take control of their health. I strive to provide a safe space for my patients to express their health concerns and wellness goals while giving support and providing strategies to reach their health potential. I provide knowledge which allow my patients to make informed decisions about their health, as well as provide comprehensive treatment plans and wellness strategies formulated from up to date scientific research and clinical experience, which are tailored to each person’s individual needs.

Different assessment tools such as blood, stool or urine testing and well as physical exams may be utilized to allow for an informed diagnosis. I focus on strengthening the foundations of health through nutrition and lifestyle modifications which can accelerate healing and prolong health.

Treatment therapies that I utilize are counselling and mindfulness coaching, nutrition and lifestyle management, nutraceuticals, herbal medicine, homeopathy and acupuncture.

I have a passion for Psycho-Neuro-Immunology with a focus on, but not limited to mood, hormones, bain health, digestive health, and immune health.

Prior to attending the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of

Naturopathic Medicine - Boucher campus, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Calgary. I also spent 10 years abroad teaching ESL and traveling before returning to Canada to raise my two children and take additional pre-medicine science courses at Simon

Fraser University.

I am registered and in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of

British Columbia (CNPBC) and am a member of the British Columbia’s Naturopathic Doctors

When I am not taking care of my patients and seeking further knowledge, I enjoy spending quality time with my two children and husband of 20 years and our rescue dogs Ozzy and Nico. I also enjoy hiking, going to the beach, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Katie Barr
Naturopathic Doctor

I have always had a love of plants, nature, and healing which was instilled within me at a young age by my mother who had an alternative medical practice in Kitsilano for many years. I spent my university days studying Biology and Botany at UBC, and then completed my naturopathic medical training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.

I am passionate about empowering my patients to take charge of their health by providing the tools, information, and simple steps to implement lasting change. It is important for me to treat the whole person (mind, body, spirit) by becoming a partner in the healing journey.

Everyone experiences day to day stress to varying degrees, which is either processed or stored in the body to create imbalances which may lead to disease. By using sophisticated biological testing and healing modalities such as Herbal Medicine, Integrative Body Psychotherapy, and Acupuncture we can create the right conditions in the mind and body that are essential for healing. I’m excited to share my knowledge, and help create an environment of well-being through teaching healthy living practices and utilizing all the natural healing modalities. From this, we can heal ourselves and become the masters of our own health.

When not in the clinic, you can find me outside exploring nature with my dog, working on my next knitting project, or on my family’s farm on Cortes Island. I look forward to meeting you and would love to know how I can help you to reach your health goals.

Massage

Tamara Jackson
Holistic Health and Shiatsu services

Creating a safe and caring space, that encourages deep listening and compassion, Tamara supports clients in calming the nervous system, releasing congested tissues, systems and energies, and connecting to inner wisdom, health and personal power.

This work is collaborative: She works with clients AND their body, where communicating needs and comfort, listening to the body's subtle feedback, and setting and revisiting intentions assist in creating beneficial outcomes.

Realizing the importance of loving what she does for a living, Tamara changed her direction professionally in 2017 to follow her curiosity. This brought her to her first massage workshop in Balinese Intuitive massage while traveling. The hands-on work informed by anatomical understanding and attuned listening planted a seed.

In December 2020 she graduated from Windsong School of Healing with a Holistic Health and Shiatsu Practitioner diploma (includes training in Shiatsu and Relaxation Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Earth and Energy Medicine). Currently, she is working towards her certification in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and is set to complete the training May 2025.

When she's not working, Tamara enjoys cooking, embodied movement, learning, and regularly gets into the forest to connect with nature.
