Immune Boosting Foods For Fall

As temperatures drop our immune systems need a little extra nutrition to keep them in tip top shape. Here are some delicious nutrient dense foods to support your immunity this cold and flu season.


Root Vegetables: Carrots, sweet potatoes and beets are high in beta carotene, which converts to vitamin A a powerful antioxidant for our immune systems. Bonus: its great for skin too!


Pomegranates: Are full of antioxidants to protect cells again inflammation and fight infection. Warning: if you are struggling with high blood sugar or insulin resistance eat in moderation.


Cabbage and Cruciferous Vegetables: This family of veggies is very high in vitamin C and other anti-inflammatory compounds. Bonus: very cleansing for liver detoxification pathways which help with hormone issues, skin congestion and immune function.


Ginger and Turmeric: These warming herbs not only taste amazing but they are anti-inflammatory, antioxidizing and nourish our good gut bugs. Good gut bugs = strong immunity!
